  ok i think most of you at some point have come across the apologetic saying "wait on jehovah" from jws whenever an injustice occurs in the organization.

  many have also used this expression to abandon evidence against the "truth".

  this has easily become one of my biggest pet peeves now since speaking to others about ttatt.

  Wow, this is far more complicated than I would have imagined. Cedars, tell your source that we appreciate the info but PLEASE BE CAREFUL. If they are planning on going out with a bang, this probably isn't a big enough one since the article will be public soon anyway. Tell them to save it for a major leak (LOL).

  Anyway, I started reading your article but dont' have the time to properly digest. Also, I believe I'll need a few beverages in me to truly analyze. Good lord, its so convuluted that you can get a headache thinking about it. Seems like all their new light is so illogical that even the most avid believer just shrugs their shoulders and moves on. This one may be even dumber than the new Generation teaching.

  The FIRST Memorial I’ve missed in 41 years…

  last year, my last jw memorial, i listened to the talk as an outsider would.

  the speaker strung unrelated texts together and for the first time, i saw that the interpretations made no sense.

  afterward, i had a private memorial with homemade unleavened bread and wine with four people--three of whom partook.

  do not look for excuses to associate with a disfellowshipped family member, for example, through e-mail.

  in the congregation i attend, no one--and i mean no one--commented on the directive to not communicate with df'd family members by email.

  Interestingly enough, no one commented on that portion either. It was a single answer and move on. Not sure if the conductor did that on purpose though. He was running behind so he rushed through the last few paragraphs.

  apostates are a figment of the jw imagination.

  not necessarily the dictionary definition of the word apostate, which simply means a person who leaves their religion, for by that definition everyone who leaves a religion to become a jw is an apostate--but the jw conception of the apostate, both as an individual and as a 'group' is imaginary.. .

  for starters, the watchtower goes beyond the definition of merely leaving the religion, if a person disagrees with a doctrine or practice of the organization, even if they dont voice it, that is a thoughtcrime called apostasy.

  i started having doubts about the org back then and my curiosity overcame my fear of so-called apostate websites so here i am.
